Ponduru Cotton: Indigenous Red Cotton

India is home to Ponduru red cotton or Red cotton refers to the rare, indigenous "yerra patti" (red cotton) or "konda patti" (hill cotton) grown in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district. This short-staple cotton is hand-spun into fine, breathable khadi. This delicate peach color is the natural color of the fiber.


Composition & Origin :

100% Organic Heirloom Cotton

This indigenous varietal was grown - hand spun and hand woven without the use of electricity near Ponduru in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This climate beneficial fabric was then cut, sewn and finished in New Delhi. 

It takes the combined cooperation of 7 Artisans - 25 hours to bring this garment to life.
